The crew: vampires. The destination: MARS. VASA’s top astronauts are all set to begin a new civilization on the distant Red Planet. But something isn’t quite right on board.
ASTROVAMPS, our final production at GSMD, is out of this world. Puppets, poetry, and practical effects combine to make the stakes higher than they have ever been before.

What, really, is time? Is it slipping through our fingers or something we race after without an end?
This is an experimental performance in four parts. Each quarter explores the impact of the ticking clock in the forms of ambition, anxiety, procrastination, and comparison, and the ever-lasting search for purpose. Expect moments of reflection, hilarity, and the unnerving sense that you, too, might be running out of time.

“You are here,” insist the arrows on maps and guides. How many of us really are?”
— Lucy Lippard (1997) The Lure of the Local: Senses of Place in a Multicultural Society
This quotation was the starting point we were given three weeks ago, tasked with using this teaching space and only what we could find around Guildhall to convey our collective and individual journeys to the physical, imaginary, and emotional present.
So, where are you?
